Thank you! I look forward to getting to know you all! :)

I would post this on my new blog, but I don’t have enough followers to get a good poll.

What was your favorite movie as a child?

I dug an old blog out of the depths and revamped it…

So I guess this blog is moving to another…

But I’m still keeping Romantic Revelry around for quite awhile anyway, simply because 2,000+ posts of my life and things I enjoy(ed) are included here.

But this blog will allow the both of us so much more freedom. You can now reply to these posts without having to go to my ask, and many other things. Not to mention, I CAN FOLLOW YOU ALL! :)

So, go follow me! I’ll follow you! AND THEN WE CAN BECOME FRIENDS!:

#New Blog

The secret of attraction is to love yourself. Attractive people judge neither themselves nor others. They are open to gestures of love. They think about love, and express their love in every action. They know that love is not a mere sentiment, but the ultimate truth at the heart of the universe.

  • My note: This is pretty much true. As soon as I made a vow to love myself at all times possible (which is now about 95% of the time), I became so open to loving others. I wasn’t afraid anymore to pour out my heart. There were no games. I stopped being so hard on myself and stopped negatively judging others. Love became everything I wanted and everything that I wanted to give out. That’s still the most important thing to me. All I will ever truly need is love and all of the positive things that surround it.

I’m considering making another blog.

Because this is just a tumblog extension of Vinyl Sea, and not signed up with its own email address, I’m very limited. I can’t follow people, I can’t edit posts directly from my blog, I have no dashboard on this blog (I just see my posts and if someone likes/reblogs something)…

I have to do all of that on Vinyl Sea, which isn’t personal enough for me sometimes.

But I’ve done so much here… that I’m reluctant to have to “start all over”, I guess. We’ll see.

Delores has started teaching me Spanish.

She is a wonderful older woman (the mother of my aunt) who we have all nicknamed Ya Ya. She speaks very little English, but we manage to communicate anyway. The kids also translate between English and Spanish when we really can’t get a point across.

Anyway, she is teaching me Spanish a little every day. I know a lot from songs, believe it or not, because I listen to songs with Spanish in them. (Devendra Banhart, Nat King Cole, etc…) I just didn’t ever quite know what was being said. I could draw conclusions, but not completely.

Anyway… she taught me the English meaning of most Nat King Cole’s version of Quizas, Quizas, Quizas as a warm up, which pleased me.

Then she taught me:

  • Que es eso?
  • Eso es…
  • Queiro un…
  • Queiro un vaso de agua.
  • Queiro un poquito…
  • Queiro un mucho…

And that’s it so far… but I’m really happy about it. :) Makin’ progress, people!
