Meet the new man in my life: Bailey Brown the Burmese cat. 

Well, he’s not exactly new. In fact, he knows me really well… since we were both just kids (kittens?) when we met for the first time. He’s been around ever since, but we just recently started our solid, loving relationship. I moved in and now he snuggles with me in bed every night. Not to mention, he’s ravishingly handsome. What more could I ask for?

He also loves me a lot, so I know he’ll never leave.

Crazy cat lady in the making? I assure you, I am not. But he makes me see why some people are. :p

In all seriousness, reasons why I love this cat: He was raised specifically by the breeder to enjoy affection, at my uncle’s request, all those years ago. She cuddled him often in those early weeks and even taught him to ride on her shoulder. Since then, he has loved to be loved. He likes to be cradled like a baby (no lie) and when you pick him up, he automatically turns his body to face you and rests one paw on each of your shoulders. Every time without fail.

And when you blow in his face or meow at him, he meows back.

He also likes to rub his face on mine, which I do not object to. 

He’s sitting on my nightstand now, yawning big. We like each other’s company.
